• The project goal was to deliver new Meta accounts for Meta’s VR ecosystem. Before this project users were using Facebook to login to VR devices. The project was around 12 months long from nothing to release.
• We created the new identity system, migrated existing users, created connected experiences with Facebook and Instagram.
• My role was overall project planning, creating execution plans, cost estimations, bootstrapping of the project by setting up initial domain, ents and endpoints, design and deliver complex components, resolving cross team dependencies, running engg scrum, communicating to leadership, de-risking the project (Implemented Device Code login to de-risk), etc.
• I led the decision and implementation of Meta account branding which was a company-wide impact.
• I owned Oculus mobile app auth, device pairing, Device code, and residuary owner of several other areas.
• I was the Security POC - managed pen testing, did security reviews along with central team, incoming security bugs, triaging bugs, and getting them fixed.
• Managing how the customers who get checkpointed because of Facebook process can continue to use their VR devices. Involved working with pxfn to get exceptions, proposing new processes for support and dealing with incidents in the area.
