• Developed & Commercialized smartphone camera feature modes like Photo, Video, Portrait, HDR, Night, Macro, Pro, Slow-Motion, etc for the Flagship Galaxy S/Note/Tab series, Foldable Z-Fold & Z-Flip as well as A & M series phones based on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.
• Tech Stack : C, C++, Java, Linux, Android, Shell scripting, Git/Perforce, Jira, Systrace, Address Sanitizer, SourceInsight, Samsung Proprietary tools.
• Responsibilities : Core algorithmic feature implementation in C/C++ at the Android Camera Systems (HAL) layer, Sensor Bring-Up using firmware kernel driver programming, Power-Memory-Performance KPI optimization, codebase migration/upgrades, Systrace profiling, JUnit testing & Commercialization.
• Engaged in 20+ Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) projects following Agile/Scrum methodology. Regular cross-functional collaboration with Image Quality, Applications, Framework, Hardware, Solutions & QA teams across global locations like South Korea, Europe, China, Vietnam & San Diego.
• Entrusted with Ownership of implementing 32 & 48 MP “High-Res” image capture for 1st on a Samsung Smartphone. Collaborated with Qualcomm & optimized capture time by 34% (Received Samsung Citizen Award). Commercialized on Galaxy M40, A60, A70 & A80 smartphones clocking a global sale of 12 Million+ units.
• Received an opportunity to travel to Samsung Headquarters in South Korea for 3 months to work on ‘Optical Image Stabilization (OIS)’ & ‘Digital Negative Capture (DNG)’ for the Flagship Z-Flip model. Enhanced CPU runtime by 26% using Android’s native capabilities, buffer handling, resource sharing, kernel driver programming & calibration.
• Statistics : 250+ codebase commits, 200+ unique production issues resolution, Average Resolution Time < 4 days, Resolution Rejection Ratio < 3%.
