• As a founding engineer, I helped design and build core services to support the company’s flagship products from the ground up
• As project lead, served as engineering representative working with Product and Design teams from requirements gathering, to solution ideation, to implementation and release
• Refactored the core Automated Student Placement Service improving its speed by more than 10x contributing to an increase in customer retention and sales
• Defined service boundaries between Abl’s Data Science platform and core application services. Additionally, designed and built an abstracted API by leveraging dynamic Active Record models for the relevant services allowing the Frontend and Data Science teams to iterate on visualizations with minimal friction
• Built ETL services to support bidirectional data transfers between Abl and external data sources while ensuring data integrity
• Supported Data Science work by ensuring data consistency and hygiene
• Routinely performed security and performance critical library and framework upgrades

• Designed, built and owned load simulation software for benchmarking and revealing complex bugs throughout the Connect stack
