• Design and implement features within a suite of internal microservices used by 20+ data

scientist and Alexa model developer teams worldwide to ensure the quality of new Alexa

features before releasing into production

• Work closely with Alexa’s modeling community to ensure that the team’s documentation and web interfaces are up to date. This allows users to debug model regressions self-sufficiently and save time by removing the need for the team’s input

• Collaborate with other Alexa teams across time zones to integrate new features into the

broader model evaluation and release framework

• Drove three applications through Amazon’s multi-month security review process from start to finish, which certifies that all recommended privacy and security measures are in place to protect customer data

• Design, implement and test containerized .NET services using C# and RabbitMQ

• Work with other teams in the department in cross-team designs to optimize all API calls for performance and reliability

• Pioneered the research and development effort into Docker and other production-level deployment technologies

• Guide team members and other teams on how to utilize new technologies and architecture

• Assisted the team with development work such as fixing bugs, designing and implementing stories, and testing the code changes via unit tests and high-level integration tests

• Utilized NUnit, and Moq in C# to write automated tests that ensured new features behave according to all provided acceptance criteria

• Maintained existing tests for regression testing and updated them to meet new expectations

• Upgraded a heavily-used distributed testing tool by increasing the stability of the clients, changing the client-selection algorithm to decrease runtime by 30-50%, and decreased manual testing time by adding retry logic for various edge cases

• Handled support calls and requests for the System Manager team by answering technical questions, triaging issues, and fixing defects

• Wrote Java methods that interact with the web platform to use in automation tests

• Designed and created regression test cases through Selenium and TestNG that cover the majority of the website
