Order Release and Customization Team (Jan 2024 - April 2024)

• Shipped multi-vendor tie break feature for custom orders preventing 100s of order fulfillment failures on a per day basis

• Automated infra failover to allow seamless transition to back up region infra without downtime to safeguard against the 0.01 percentile AWS outages

• Implemented returns integrations for 3rd party orders to mitigate return fraud. Estimated revenue impact =~ $8 mil per year

Chewy Labor Management Systems team (Jan 2023 - Dec 2023)

• Lead multiple initiatives to scale the core labor management service which produces foundational data required for managing 10k+ employees across 25+ fulfillment centers and workflow optimization applications across finance and analytics verticals by processing millions of transactions per day

• Worked on the unification of seller side and customer side data models in Product Knowledge org

• Used ElasticSearch for matching concepts in both data models to generate a standard format knowledge graph

• Collaborated with information scientists and engineers to come up with a new data model that satisfies maintainability needs, business needs, and scalability needs

• Wrote algorithms that allowed edits in the Amazon retail category graph in a scalable manner

• Utilized ElasticSearch to salvage stray packages at fulfillment centers by matching string information on packages against back-end systems, saving $36k+ annually per fulfillment center

• Slashed storage costs by up to 80% via scheduling rotation of unused data to cold storage using S3 triggers and Dynamo DB streams
