Work on the WhatsApp Business API

• Team owns its own C++ service and maintains its own storage and execution frameworks

• Worked on several major features to launch Groups support on the WhatsApp Business API

• Working on multiple sharding and concurrency projects to achieve higher scalability for the Groups product

• Rewrote a C++ socket-based communication library to support TLS communication using OpenSSL

• Designed layered I/O APIs to include buffered reading+writing and support batch jobs of 1B+ records

• Led an effort across 4+ teams to prepare infrastructure to meet a strict SLA for product launch. Involved many scalability considerations and redesigns

• Designed 0->1 policy system for enforcing a growing number of requirements to properly control data use

• Served as the single POC of this policy system for 3+ teams and led the roadmapping and designs for the project

• Implemented concurrent pagination algorithm to retrieve large amounts of data in Python using asyncio

• Created a mapreduce framework that intelligently chunks large amounts of data to conduct analysis in parallel

I worked on the Cloud team to add a feature to redact log files of sensitive information using concurrent data structures in Java and React. I also worked on improving and automating the test infrastructure for end to end tests to ensure compatibility of the server with cloud services.
