Leading Meta's Family of Apps Growth Notifications Experience, building personalized offsite (Push/Email/SMS) notifications at scale
• Engineering Lead for Meta's Growth Notifications Experience team. Led 15+ members developing
systems to send personalized Push/Email/SMS notifications at scale (10B+ notifications per
day) for Meta's Family of Apps (Facebook, Instagram, Threads) directly contributing to
company critical topline metrics of Daily/Monthly Active Users
• Specialized in building and scaling 0-> 1 products and teams. Developed Logged out Push
notifications for device sharers in EMEA driving 45M xAU till date. Launched company's first
cross-app (FB-Instagram) push notifications. Bootstrapped email notifications team for
Threads. Drove long-term strategy for FB Emails driving 15M+ MAU while reducing 30%
email volume and system capacity etc.
• Strong experience in planning and driving team's Roadmap, collaborating with leadership,
PM, Data and other XFN partners. Consistently delivered 15M incremental Global xAU
(DAU/MAU) annually for 5+ years.
• Extensive A/B experimentation experience running 50+ tests per half. Developed new
framework "Sweltoid" to run and measure device level experiments adopted company wide.
• Led foundations workstream to migrate key infrastructures for system scaling and capacity
optimization. Setup realtime monitoring systems, dashboards, alerts and coached engineers
on oncall to improve reliability metrics by 3x.
• Strong experience in cross functional and org alignment, prioritization, technical system
designing, war rooms and solving team/org critical SEVs and technical problems.
• Managed 5 engineer's performance improvement, mentored 10 junior engineers on
engineering best practices and developed growth plan to senior levels. Coached 6 senior
engineers on leadership skills to scale the team.

• Design, Development and Maintenance of FEX on Cisco’s Nexus 7000 Data Center Switches.
• Lead the feature development involving designing, development and validation of VNTag for M3.
• Co-leading the feature design and development for Multicast, Virtual Port-Channeling and VxLAN on Nexus 8000 Linecard with Broadcom Jericho Chipset.
• Worked on features like L2 and L3 forwarding, Port Channels, FabricPath, Fex Active-Active etc.
• Worked on individual initiative to reduce the energy footprint of the Business Unit.

Worked on the development of a dedicated logging framework “Blogger” (Binary Logger) to handle and manage logs efficiently on Cisco's Data Center Switching OS - NxOS.
• Developed in C - library and processes to dump and transfer the buffers on the remote line card’s RAM FS on reaching a pre-defined threshold.
• Developed in C - an offline Linux based parser to parse binary logs and print in human readable format.
• Scale and performance analysis was done to monitor Blogger impact on Switch and Remote Line card’s CPU and Memory.
