• Enhanced Java-based Order Management System (OMS) by improving observability, error handling, and alerting; bridged OMS with TypeScript microservices to provide system-wide visibility and support cross-service projects
• Resolved systemic billing issues by collaborating with the Data team to identify root causes of miscalculated fees; streamlined processes to cut billing efforts from weeks to days and built a new Node.js billing service with Stripe and Adyen integrations
• Extended role-based access control (RBAC) to support brand vs. global roles by updating backend decorator logic and ensuring authorization was consistently applied across services. Led frontend engineers to enforce role restrictions in the portal UI, making the platform merchant-ready and preventing cross-client data exposure.
