As a Design Engineer on the Connectivity team, my core responsibilities are to ensure that the telecom infrastructure and cabling plant for Meta Data Centers are designed and built to ensure resilient and timely capacity for the various apps and services provided by Meta. While working on multiple data center sites, each with multiple buildings going through new build or retrofit designs, I also work on global design improvements for the Connectivity design team. Some of my work resulted in having:
• Managed quality execution of all new building/retrofit pathways and cabling design deliverables for 11 data center regions; designs included rack placement, rack equipment, cable trays, ductbanks, fiber/copper cabling (OSP and ISP) and patching
• OSP design leadership; working with construction and network engineering teams to continue advancing our OSP design standards through creating and updating various reference documents such as specifications and Basis of Designs, integrating new cabling and infrastructure products into designs and mentoring other design engineers on OSP standards
• Collaborated with network engineering in order to deploy new network designs by translating network requirements into ISP cabling and patching designs; included a new network topology that was critical for AI capacity
• Developed a OSP cabling augmentation plan for 4 campuses, which prevented the need for costly duct bank augmentation. Resulted in savings of approximately $3.2M per site
• Onboarded 3 new design engineers by introducing them to Meta processes/tools and also teaching technical connectivity design standards/requirements

• Lead team of 10-15 consisting of junior engineers, CAD designers, field technicians, and sub-contractors to optimize, engineer and permit a new 100 mile fiber network for a DAS project in Washington DC
• Projected and tracked revenue for the Washington DC project totaling about $800K and reported completed work to be invoiced on a monthly basis
• Developed the relocation design for more than 30 relocation projects by conducting conflict analysis through performing field visits and interpreting engineering documents such as test pit data, roadway plans, and profiles and cross sections
• Managed more than 50 new build projects for several clients since starting position, from initial site survey to permit issuance
• Experience with acquiring right of way construction permits in various MD and VA counties as well as WDC
• Created proposals, SOW documents and work authorizations for clients and contractors
• Managed various contractors/sub-contractors in construction, splicing, surveying, and fiber locating
• Created presentation on fiber cable components, splicing, and construction methods and delivered presentation to the engineering division at the annual engineering retreat
• Experience using Sonde transmitter to locate network and advise on utility crossings in order to avoid damage to network during construction
• Created proposals, SOW documents and work authorizations for clients and contractors
• Performed structural analysis using OCALC software on utility poles for various loading situations and made guying recommendations for failing poles
• Managed land surveyor contractor to perform topographical survey and utilized construction grading plans to determine potential conflicts for client’s concurrent fiber conduit construction
• Directly responsible for 3 employees in organization chart which includes conducting the mid year and annual reviews for each employee

6095 Marshalee Drive, Elkridge, Maryland
• Surveyed utility poles using the IKE handheld device or CVT stick to collect pertinent information for structural analysis for the utility poles
• Generated over 50 structural reports using OCALC software for node utility poles receiving new antennas and equipment and submitted as part of application package to pole owners
• Performed storm water runoff calculations using TR-55 method for tower site to sized culvert with supervision of senior engineer
• Designed drainage area, profile and culvert plan using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Conducted site walks for raw land and existing buildings sites to determine equipment/antenna and fiber/electric conduit placement
• Performed site walks to take measurements and gather data on building structural components for structural engineer to analyze rooftop integrity for placing new antennas and equipment
• Generated pre-construction and final construction drawing sets using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Managed project to ensure timely delivery of construction drawings to customer
• Delegated and reviewed AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings from designers to submit to client for construction
• Designed HVAC plans under supervision of PE which included sizing air handler and condenser units and determining coolant and power cable sizing
• Conducted site walks to determine insulation needs as well as placement of condenser and air handler units for cooling of antenna equipment space
• Utilized the buildings structural, mechanical/plumbing, and electrical plans to aid in determining pathing for new lateral builds
• Chosen to participate in summer intern mentorship program which included teaching intern about AutoCAD Civil 3D, standards of the telecommunication industry, and meeting on a weekly basis to discuss progress
2014 — 2016
6095 Marshalee Drive, Elkridge, Maryland
• Generated full sets of AutoCAD drawings including site plans, compound plans, antenna plans, equipment details, elevation profiles, and electrical plans
• Storm water management calculations for sites with proposed grading
• Site visits to survey compounds which included taking photos and measurements of different equipment
• Gathered parcel information using GIS, aerial imagery, and local tax assessments
• Created structural letters which included various structural analysis specifications
• Used OCALC program to perform structural analysis on utility poles
• Conducted research on energy storage market to see if NB+C would be able to extend it's services into the industry
