Tech Lead, PayPal Large Enterprises Servicing Domain
Leading technical strategy, architecture, and development for the Braintree Servicing domain. Established this domain from the ground up, building the team and delivering merchant self-service, merchant data management and operational automation solutions.
Contributions:
• Established the Servicing domain, defining technical vision and architecture in a previously undefined space.
• Grew team from one engineer to nine across two scrum teams, establishing ADR-first practices and collaborative culture.
• Architected Braintree's first extensible self-service framework for merchant account management.
> Designed lifecycle orchestration engine managing request initiation, state transitions, validations, and audit logging.
> Achieved 80% merchant adoption within 30 days, reducing resolution time from 3.9 days to under 5 minutes.
> Reduced support ticket volume by 17%, freeing teams for higher-value work. (More workflows to follow)
> Collaborated with UX, Product, Risk, Compliance, and Identity teams on merchant experience.
• Converged merchant business information to create single source of truth, minimizing data drift.
> Developed data ingestion pipelines synchronizing data across payment processing, CRM, funding, and compliance systems.
> Adopted API-first approach for CRUD operations, ensuring modularity and scalability.

Contributed towards developing next-gen Configuration Management system for the applications in PayPal.
Configuration management system at PayPal offers applications a framework agnostic, extensible, external, and decoupled source of configuration, promoting rapid and reliable application behavior change at runtime without the need for application code changes.
Contributions to the project:
• Distributed system design and development of core components of UCP.
• Reduced the traffic on the database by incorporating distributed caching
using JunoDB.
• Designed and integrated "bulkhead" strategies for configuration rollout for safe and reliable configu-
ration changes.
• Brought down reverts of faulty configurations by 46%.
• Designed, documented, and implemented sidecar pattern for configuration agent decoupled from
application binary.
• Allowed abstracting stack agnostic client operations in a decoupled system.
• Simplified development, rollout, and maintenance of language-specific clients.
• Integrated with the automated change management solution for transparency of configuration
rollout across the site.
• Integrated with Jenkins automated pipeline to offer continuous linting and testing before production
changes.
• Developed thin client as an NPM package used by over 500 Nodejs front-tier and mid-tier applications
at PayPal.
• Integrated with identity management solution at PayPal to offer OAuth-based AuthN AuthZ for
client web app and server API.
• Contributed to uni-directional geo-partition strategies for configuration management across PayPal’s
US and China geo-locations.

Remote Config: Contributed to the modernization of the Remote Config system at PayPal. Remote
Config at PayPal provides dynamic configuration changes without downtime, allowing developers to
externalize and update configs swiftly and cleanly.
• Contributed to Spring Boot service for Remote Config takes an average of 44M requests every hour
and is served by 60 commodity-sized host instances.
• Worked as a full stack engineer on Nodejs web app and Java REST service.
• Worked on integrating with MongoDB servers for storing configurations.

Part of the Frameworks & Infrastructure team of PayPal. As an engineer in the Frameworks & Infra team, my responsibilities included developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and test infrastructure for PayPal's quality analysts to test the code.
Worked on core Java technologies to develop the test automation frameworks at PayPal. Along with the frameworks and infrastructure, I contributed towards building a metrics platform for my team which captured, persisted and visualized all the telemetry data for our frameworks and infrastructure.
