High-Throughput Messaging Infrastructure: Managed and optimized systems responsible for delivering over 21 billion daily webhooks.

Cloud Infrastructure Evolution: Facilitated the implementation of webhook delivery via Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Amazon EventBridge, and Kafka.

Operational Integrity & Incident Response: Served as a lead for incident response and recovery efforts, including the restoration of millions of webhook subscriptions to ensure platform stability.

Data Pipeline Architecture: Built and maintained unified logging and data systems capable of processing hundreds of millions of events per hour.

Workflow Optimization: Continuously evaluate and integrate advanced developer tools, such as AI-assisted frameworks and CLI-based utilities, to enhance system performance and engineering productivity.

Worked in a team of passionate developers and educators to create and teach curriculum for the Software Development Diploma and the Software Development Post Diploma Certificate programs. Created courses in programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, React/Node.js, Android development. Taught courses in application development, databases, algorithms, and enterprise computing. Mentored capstone groups during development of oil and gas rock typing applications for industry partner.

Developed and supported Android applications for a variety of medical purposes. ISO 13485 (Design and Development of Medical Devices) and ISO 14971 (Risk Management for Medical Devices) trained. Worked with a diverse team of human factors specialists, designers, and developers to deliver safe and high quality products. Projects include MedlyCHF, an app for remote monitoring of patients with congestive heart failure and eKidneyCare, a similar app for chronic kidney disease.

Designed and implemented software for an advanced laser tag system, working from concept to finished product, using Java, Python, CSS and Objective-C. Wrote fully networked system including a Java game server, Java game clients, and Java/CSS live scoreboard using the KryoNet framework. Created layout framework to quickly create and display information to the gun OLED screens over a serial line. Wrote code to interface with an external server that controlled dynamic field lighting. Found and tested numerous audio solutions for low latency and reliability in a Linux envi- ronment. Developed build and deployment scripts using ant and Linux tools. Wrote player stat recording and statistical analysis scripts in Python and mySQL. Wrote an iOS referee app in Objective-C. Worked closely with the creative department to create a fluid user experience.
