Built out and maintained 16 real-time Kafka Data Pipelines in Java, comprised of 16 batches, 20 Kafka consumers, 3 Kafka producers, 16 NoSQL MongoDB databases and 19 REST APIs – for processing data crucial in the day-to-day operations of our 2308 insurance brokers.

• Led the initiative in developing a predictive algorithm that identifies and projects recurring transactions based on the clients’ 12-month transaction history.

• Designed, iterated, and tested the algorithm in Python on a large database of 5000+ clients while ensuring the system can be scalable to Desjardin’s 7.5 million members.

• Obtained, in our final iteration, an impressive accuracy rate of 98% in correctly predicting the subsequent occurrence of a recurring transaction, receiving lots of praise during our company-wide presentation.

• Adapted the Python algorithm into a Java/Spring API microservice and extended existing code architectures, respecting SOLID principles and unit testing with Mockito and JUnit..

• Developed multiple React components from scratch, using TypeScript, Html, and CSS (DataTable, Stateful buttons, and progress ring components).

• Worked with UX/UI design teams to improve existing applications and components.

• Documented react components, using MDX and storybook.

• Worked with Slack, Bitbucket, and Jira to communicate with the team.

• Assisted the pharmacist in interpreting, entering, filling prescription orders, and ensuring an overall positive customer experience.

• Handled inventory stock by counting inventory items, checking delivery quantities, reviewing medication, expirations, and ordering additional products.

• Completed cash register transactions by handling credit and cash payments using the pharmacy register system.
