Creating an incredible social cooking experience on iOS and Android using react-native.

• Led a team to introduce event-driven micro-service architecture, utilizing a Kafka queue, a new dedicated listening service and dedicated NoSQL Database the first of it's kind internally.

• Rewrote the application's authentication flows decreasing app start times by 25%.

• Led an initiative to replace the notification infrastructure in place at the company and move to a new provider (Braze) saving the company over $2M a year in billings. This growth targeting increased are app reengagement metrics by 75%.

• Introduced proper isolated build targets for staging/local development/production within Xcode and Google Play making QA and development of third party integrations faster and safer to test.

• Introduced Datadog instrumentation for the React-Native application and created scheduling, dashboarding, alerting and runbooks for the on-call rotations.

• Worked in GoLang with event driven microservice architectures and a legacy ruby on rails monolith.

• Designed and executed on an image service designed to inteligently serve the best content type, remove the background of an image and provide a proper crop of the item in frame on the fly. Designed in GoLang with bimg framework, this was released at scale to 100k daily traffic with a design that required over 35 images w/ transperency support on the goat.com homepage.

• Worked on a rewrite of currency support for proper SEO for Google Shopping item support with live updates since goat.com was a 2 way bidding marketplace. End result achieved a 15% uplift in Google Shopping search click throughs.

• Helped optimize vercel server side rendering performance for the homepage rewrite, allowing us to serve 20% more traffic per server box.
