• Application performance - Led efforts to improve performance across the web application by optimizing flows,

eliminating bottlenecks and leveraging caching to improve efficiency of the system. Achieved a 25% improvement in

application-wide latencies in just 6 months of the team’s formation and up-to 90% improvement in some of worst

performing endpoints

• Improving critical flows - Proposed designs to transition the tasks framework, a vital yet poorly-performing part of

critical user workflows into an event/change based system. Proposal garnered interest all the way to Principal Engineer

and CTO.

Also led the effort to put out tooling, automated reports, educational material, and showcases to help foster a

performance oriented mindset across engineering and leadership.
