I trained and mentored seven agile software development teams.
When I initially took on this role, I started by completely refactoring our main application with the help of our other lead developer. Handling our growing technical debt was a huge priority for me. I worked Typescript into all our of applications because I believe as our team expands, making it easy to understand our growing codebases and making it hard for a new developer to add something they shouldn't (type-safety is awesome!) is so important. After that was completed, I had the rewarding challenge of onboarding 20 new developers of varying skills(from people that had never opened an IDE in their life, to people that had been coding since they were 10!). I sorted those developers onto 7 different teams and mentored them in their varying roles(PM, Developer, Designer). I had the pleasure of watching our organization thrive while handling everything from training, morale events, to interviews. Needless to say, I was constantly learning something new from this.
