I worked on the Growth Member Acquisition team to increase creator sharing to external video sharing

platforms by adding functionality to download previews of video content with watermarks through MUX. I also revamped the sharing modal to highlight new functionality, as well as share the video asset to the sharesheet to directly post on other platforms on mobile.

Near the end of my internship, I worked on client-side polling for updates to indicate when the video is ready to download, and throughout my internship, I wrote screenshot / Happo tests and unit tests to ensure code integrity. I also tested impact by running experiments, and metrics showed changes made were directionally positive.

In Spring 2022, I worked on a team with Climate Clock to rebuild and extend their current website counting down the time left to curb emissions to stay under a 1.5 °C increase in temperature. Then, in Fall 2022, I worked on a team with Brink to build a web responsive version of their voter election guide that makes the democratic process accessible to anyone.

Both semesters, I analyzed pain points to write a Product Requirements Doc outlining features and their priority. Created a developer timeline while working with a tech lead to discuss feasibility and with a designer to clarify need, give feedback on designs, and discuss use cases. Conducted user research and evaluated necessary changes. Communicated with nonprofit about development updates and required information. Helped with developmental blockers.

Worked on a team with Falling Fruit, a nonprofit which helps people find foraging locations near them. Coded an API wrapper, multiple reusable styled components, created an entry page and settings page.

Worked on a cross-platform web app for 3DP4ME, a non-profit, which 3D prints hearing aids for people in Jordan. Peer programmed a map component, wrote frontend for patient log-in, and worked on token authentication using node-2fa and Passport.
