Mechanical Kinetics and Forensics Engineer
• Collaborated with national and international teams of architects, structural engineers, and mechanical engineers to design and engineer moving structural systems including operable wall panels, retractable roofs, and custom elevating solutions. Worked directly with clients to ensure an efficient engineering experience.
• Created 3D models and mechanical layouts in Inventor and AutoCAD; reviewed structural models in Revit and Rhino.
• Integrated mechanical, electrical, and structural systems in order to design fully-functioning moving structures. Selected actuators, sensors, motors, and other equipment tailored to project-specific requirements. Performed complex engineering calculations to support mechanical design.
• Prepared technical documentation including design reports, BOMs, explanatory presentations, and fabrication drawings.
• Performed site visits to assess functionality of kinetic systems, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and coordinate on-site adjustments for reliable long-term operation.
