• As part of my industry exchange project, I created Talkable, an AI-assisted communication tool for individuals with

ALS/MND. Talkable provides a seamless conversational experience via motion input provided by FaceNav, with backend

functionality powered by Firebase Auth, Firebase Storage, Google TTS ans IBM Granite.

• Prevented prompt overload and latency spikes by applying a sliding window algorithm and condensing live transcriptions into

semantically equivalent summaries, optimising prompt length and input clarity for IBM Granite response generation.

• Implemented a React based treemap-style interface using that prioritises higher-probability output

• Leading a team of 5 to develop a responsive, accessible data dashboard using React, Next.js, MUI and Firebase Auth,

enabling researchers to analyse breathing techniques in cystic fibrosis patients.

• Leveraging Next.js server-side rendering and static site generation to optimise dashboard performance, achieving

a 40% faster initial page load time, ensuring researchers access critical data instantly.

• Implementing real-time breath data tracking via WebSockets, ensuring researchers receive instant device updates for

more accurate analysis and timely interventions.

• Developed a grade-tracking application using ASP.NET and PostgreSQL, implementing a microservices architecture. Employed docker containers for streamlined deployment.

• Successfully completed rotations in Software Development, Design, and Quality Assurance teams, expanding knowledge of the software development life cycle and enhancing cross-functional collaboration.

• Actively contributed to daily scrum meetings, providing valuable input on project progression and optimal task prioritization for efficient development.

• Used the OpenPyxl library in Python to automate a plethora of different accounting tasks, such as file clean-ups, payrolls, and data extraction, improving efficiency within the accountancy team.

• Took advantage of Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy python libraries to conduct data analysis and linear regressions on the firm’s variable costs. This led to the identification of the business variables that had the highest expenditures.

• Thoroughly tested newly developed tools for bugs. Made appropriate fixes for any documented changes in a clear and concise manner.
