Contribute code and create stories to migrate a mission critical LOS integration. This project migrates an older, soon-to-be deprecated SDK (C#, Ruby) to the new and improved API (Ruby, Apache Kafka), impacting 84% of clients' daily operations without disruption.

Additionally, implement user stories with Rails, Vue.js, GraphQL, and MySQL while leveraging agentic AI (Claude) to minimize blockers and maximize throughput.

Managing, coordinating, and developing a team of eleven Instructional Assistants for the introductory computer science course at UVU. Includes organizing weekly scrum meetings, personal mentorship, goal-setting, and leading by example. Work closely with the course mentor to give real-time feedback of course material to be reviewed and implement changes to the course design.

University Rover Challenge (URC) is an activity sponsored by the Mars Society, starting in 2007. We are building an autonomous vehicle capable of maneuvering in harsh terrain. The vehicle houses scientific instruments to perform onboard testing of a soil sample. We are studying ROS (Robot Operating System) to perform autonomous navigation with obstacle avoidance. This project uses a raspberry-pi and utilizes Python in tangent with existing ROS libraries to implement autonomous navigation. This is done via onboard sensor data from GPS signaling, a computer webcam, and other peripherals.

This project can lead into future collaboration among various departments in the College and the University to participate in the URC. To conclude this project, we will present at the Annual Meeting of Utah NASA Space Grant Consortium, held in early May 2022.
