• Core contributor for OpenTelemetry, a CNCF backed project standardizing the way traces and metrics are captured. Co-organized the JavaScript SIG. Early OpenTracing contributor.

• Latency Metrics - built out a time-series system for LightStep’s latency histograms.

• Satellite - LightStep’s data ingest and primary analysis point. Overhauled the

internals leading to an order of magnitude of performance improvement and increasing observability of on prem satellites.

• Product Features: Data Insights, Query Builder, Developer Mode, Snapshots,

Historical Histograms, and SAML SSO.

• Built tools and integrations for Sales/CS: Demo environment, Grafana plugin,

Embeddable charts, splunk logs to span

* Created an CLI tool to interact with IronMQ (their distributed message queue).

* Worked on our consensus algorithm and inhouse database for IronMQ.

* Created and worked on a thorough set of benchmarks comparing our message queue product to RabbitMQ http://www.iron.io/blog/2015/08/ironmq-v3-is-10x-faster-than-rabbitmq.html

* Built a PoC lock free priority queue for IronMQ

* Rewrote out backend usage and metrics system using Riemann and InfluxDB.

Worked on log analysis tool which gave customers context and meaningful analysis of large test log sets.

Wrote firmware and automated test software for In-Circuit Test Fixtures.
