At Cruise, I quickly became an engineering leader on the Product Team. I designed and implemented various microservices in our backend distributed system, leveraging tools in the AWS suite like Kinesis, Aurora, Redshift, and Redis.
My role also included setting team engineering culture and best practices, monitoring the health of our systems, talking to our system's users to uncover requirements, working with design and product management to prioritize feature asks, and communicating with other engineering teams about how our system can support their additional use cases.

As a full-stack web engineer, I took half a dozen products from ideation to launching for over a billion people around the world. Projects include a new type of feed story for music, spatial audio processing in virtual reality, reacting to 3D scenes in 360 videos, and live video broadcasting.
I also managed multiple interns and gave conference talks on frontend architecture paradigms.
