As a Senior Product Designer at Toast, I drive the creation of innovative kitchen technology solutions that enhance restaurant operations and make back-of-house work easier and more efficient. My work is rooted in collaboration with restaurant operators and staff to ensure our products address real-world challenges while making their contributions visible and valued.

Led the first UI refresh of Toast’s KDS since its launch, now in general availability.

Designed and upheld key design tenets and accessibility principles to improve readability and usability of the Kitchen Display System (KDS) for back-of-house staff.

Conducted usability testing, on-site customer interviews, and real-world studies to validate design solutions and address practical challenges in high-pressure kitchen environments.

Delivered impactful solutions to streamline workflows and enhance kitchen productivity, including support for localization to improve usability for non-English-speaking staff.

Partnered closely with cross-functional teams to create user-centric solutions that make the day-to-day work of back-of-house teams easier and more efficient.

Oversaw the entire design process for the core WHIM mobile app across iOS, Android, and tablet platforms. Championed a shift toward a user-centric design philosophy by leveraging user insight data and behavioral observations to enhance the smart home experience.

Collaborated with product, engineering, and brand teams to prototype new features and expand existing ones across the product ecosystem. Successfully supported the launch of the beta iOS app and alpha Android app on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Led a design team through the execution of the entire design process for the core WHIM mobile app across iOS, Android, and tablet platforms. Introduced a user-centric design approach, leveraging user insight data and behavioral observations to improve the smart home experience.
