At Own Up I worked as a full-stack engineer on web applications that were responsible for providing the best user experience possible to customers looking to secure a mortgage as well as applications for our in-house home advisor team. I also contributed to the implementation of Own Up's design system which was utilized by all of the engineers within the company.

• Implemented rebuild of customer onboarding experience using React and Typescript and continued to add new features after launch

• Created AWS Lambda functions to provide business logic and create API endpoints to be utilized by front-end applications

• Added new components to strengthen in-house design system which was utilized by all of the engineers at the company

• Spearheaded bi-weekly team coding sessions to improve collaboration, chemistry, and communication within the team

• Identified requirements for new features and wrote specs for new tickets to add to the backlog

• A/B tested new front-end features using experiments created with Split.io

• Implemented revamped design and user flow to the Agent Connection feature to bring a modern design and more efficient experience to the user

• Participated in a collaboration that focused on rewriting a legacy monolithic application into more manageable, independent microservices

• Integrated Google One Tap into Doorsteps which led to a substantial increase in the number of user accounts created

• Made contributions to major email overhaul effort as we transitioned from Sparkpost to Sendgrid. This effort consisted of implementing new email templates, various server-side logic changes, and integrating performance tracking libraries

• Created a serverless web application for one of the world's largest telecommunications companies. The application led to a large increase in employee bandwidth as the application replaced a tedious manual process

• Worked on a dev team within a financial institution and assisted them with identifying and implementing better dev practices and procedures

• Created a tablet based app for warehouse workers that replaced manual inventory management resulting in a large increase in productivity and employee satisfaction

• Implemented functionality to support disconnected client machines, allowing customers to work offline without losing any data

• Created a data dictionary generator that produces documentation for developers as spreadsheets and web pages

• Developed a feature to detect data model incompatibilities in various versions of customer software

• Cross-trained team members on how to use React
