HCDE 508 / Reviews principles of visual communication and design used in HCDE so that students gain a systematic and critical understanding so they can create visual communication components of print and interactive media. Students develop this understanding through hands-on exercises, design critiques, discussions, lectures, and readings in a studio environment.

Design 250 / Principles inherent in the discipline of visual communication design, including fundamentals of composition, typography, semiotics, color theory, storytelling, and image-making. Students engage in creative thinking, seeing, and making to create more professional work, including resumes, posters, and digital presentations.

• Executed and owned the design process for end-to-end product and feature lifecycle for a cross-functional team

• Developed a new Design System for all Curve Health products, including all visual components, elements and interactions

• Researched and designed a new intuitive progressive mobile web application for Remote Care Providers, offering the ability to respond to telemedicine calls on their mobile devices

• Researched and designed a new Telepsychology desktop platform to include video consultation, Electronic Health Record integration and documentation in order to provide a specialty product to Nursing Facilities to help manage and treat patient’s behavioral health in place

• Reported on and presented key findings through research artifacts, documentation and virtual oral presentations

• Designed information architecture, workflows, prototype and wireframes based on research findings

• Collaborated with VP of Product, PM, PO and Engineering teams, including Data Scientists, and other internal cross-functional stakeholders in an Agile environment, including sprints, refinement sessions and retrospectives
