Manage a team of 3 engineers overseeing the firm’s storage environment providing high availability as well as disaster recovery capabilities across two data centers which augment currently supported Hitachi HUSVM and Hitachi NAS solutions. Architected and fully engaged in the deployment of Netapp FAS8040 CDOT 8.2 (clustered mode) locally across newly implemented data center for block (VMware, Microsoft Exchange and SAP), file storage (NFS v3/v4 & CIFs) on Wintel and AIX & Redhat Linux operating hosts. NFS file sharing for SAP on SAN was servicing the planning and allocation business requirements. The Netapp HA pair utilize SATA and SAS storage along with flash cache for tiered performance. Critical firm data mirrored (SNAP mirror) for geo-independent high availability, business continuity and disaster recovery purposes. Deployed and support Unified Manager and Performance Manager for Netapp alerting and monitoring. Assessed and migrated from IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) to Symantec Netbackup 7.6.03. HP MSL library deployed locally for applications that required such. Architected and deployed Symantec Netbackup Enterprise Server 7.6 to protect firm data at both locations using HP StoreOnce B2D openstorage target technology. Netbackup hosts serve and protect firm data using Redhat Linux 6.x on HP DL380 hardware. Symantec OpsCenter is used for data protection reporting, monitoring and alerting to reduce client exposure.
