The Great Rift Valley Software Company is a consulting organization, dedicated to creating ultra-high-quality native Swift software for Cocoa.

Specialty is developing solutions for integrating Apple devices and other devices, through interfaces such as WiFi and Bluetooth.

Currently developing a "full spectrum" ONVIF client framework for Cocoa applications, as well as bluetooth infrastructure for mesh radio and OBD (On-Board Diagnostics) devices.

I develop and maintain top-quality native apps for iOS, along with content management systems and plugins for Web servers (Many apps, Web sites, demos, samples, documentation, tutorials, public repos, and tens of thousands of lines of source code -in several languages- available for perusal).

My focus is providing a very high level of service for Non-Profit organizations. I've been doing major-league volunteer and low-cost/free software development for a couple of decades. It was initially, a way to "keep my tech chops up," but has become a personal passion.

Organizations that help people, and can't afford much, deserve "top shelf" work.

Usability and aesthetic presentation are a significant factor in app quality. It can't just work, it needs to "overdeliver," and be so easy to use that it's actually a pleasure.

Currently, I have over a dozen iOS apps on the App Store (under my account). These are all 100% open-source, and complete, soup-to-nuts source code is available for your perusal.

Managed a team of engineers, writing image processing software in C++ and Halide.

Technical duties included full responsibility for product development of image processing library code, which included configuration management, delivery and maintenance.

Managerial duties included full responsibility and accountability for managing the coordination, budgeting and human resources of the department.

This entailed extensive travel to Tokyo (and elsewhere) while working within the highly-structured process used by a Japanese-based corporation.

Extremely familiar with Japanese engineering culture and procedures.

Promoted to manage the US arm of an international software development organization; writing Mac and Windows software to support consumer imaging devices (and eventually, DSLRs).
