Covid-19 Health Check
The Health Check application was a significant app to keep our associates safe. This application is used by all associates that are entering a Home Depot facility. The application has a series of questions regarding COVID19 symptoms. This application was conceptualized and created in only a few weeks. This application is now one of the most used applications at the Home Depot with over 350,000 submissions daily. Danial was the lead engineer on the Health Check application initiative. Working closely with the Director of HR Systems and the team, we were able to deliver this application to our associates rapidly. The team successfully made updates and changes to the app to adjust to the current pandemic.
In September, the team started deploying the Health Check enforcement feature to sites in the enterprise. The Health Check enforcement forces associates to pass the Health Check before they clock in for their shifts. Danial led the team in designing and implementing the Health Check enforcement feature. He worked with a team of 5 engineers to design and implement this feature and the team worked closely with the Director of HR Systems to gather the requirements.
Time Clock Refresh
The lead engineer on this project who worked closely with other teams at the Home Depot but also other outside teams to successfully replace all devices in Stores, DC, and Corporate locations. With the additional strain of the COVID19 pandemic, the team still managed to complete this rollout to all sites and safely replace devices for our associates. The successful completion of this project will lead to the cost saving of hardware and also allow for additional features to better support our associates in the future. Worked with the team to design and implement the applications and services for this project.

Coded with the Ionic and Cordova framework to interface with XML/SOAP backend services, MSSQL Server, and DB2 Database. Published application on Google Play Store and Apple App store, servicing 1000 pilot users.
Created a self-service password management application using Java Spring Boot and Angular JS. Rolled out to all store and corporate associates reducing cost and calls to the call center.
Implemented concourse CI/CD pipelines for versioning, unit-testing, security scan, and deployment to Pivotal Cloud Foundry for multiple projects.
Implemented AppDynamics monitoring and alerts for multiple backend services.
Member of the intern comittee, recruiting and interviewing interns at multiple universities. Mentored IT interns on development in Java, Spring Framework, Ionic/Cordova, Angular JS, and Pivotal Cloud Platform.
