Managed 3 vendor relationships end-to-end, overseeing the bank's first serverless cloud deployment while navigating significant stakeholder resistance around cloud security and data governance.
Built the business case against a proposed IBM Watson enterprise acquisition, researching capabilities and presenting a cost-effective alternative architecture that saved the bank millions while meeting knowledge management objectives. Negotiated data access with HR stakeholders, defining acceptable usage policies to unblock the project while addressing security concerns.
Oversaw multiple AI/ML proof-of-concept initiatives, including a topic modeling solution using LDA and AWS Comprehend that informed a blog content restructuring and improved SEO. Refactored Smart Reader, a text analytics tool built by the Institute for the Future, migrating from Python 2 to 3 ahead of the January 2020 end-of-life deadline — making it the most visited tool in the Code for Development Catalog.
