• Seventh engineering hire to a small, elite team building HelioScope: the leading tool for commercial solar installers to design solar panel installations and simulate their energy production.
• Single-handedly reduced company’s AWS bill 17% by implementing auto-scaling of EC2 instances. Created a build/deploy system using Amazon Machine Images (AMIs).
• Worked with another engineer to reimplement SaaS billing system to support new types of Stripe products and subscriptions in preparation for new product launch.
• Streamlined and maintained much of the infrastructure, including asynchronous task system (Celery), logging, monitoring/alerting, and deploy tools (Heroku, AWS).
• Sped up production deploys by 5x, enabled them to be run remotely on slower networks
• Implemented countless full-stack features for upcoming proposals web app, using React, Redux, Flask, SQLAlchemy, and PostgreSQL.
• Implemented several internal productivity tools for the Sales/Support team
• Maintained current production web app, using Angular.
