On this team, I built ML models and developed signals to tackle a wide range of problems in the understanding and ranking of news content across facebook app.

News Tab Recommendations Team (10/2019-01/2021):

Worked on the recommendation system for the newly launched 'News Tab' product in Facebook app. Some sample projects:

• Built candidate generators to efficiently retrieve high quality candidate news articles

• Created and tested new ranking features in our core ML models

• Built and fine-tuned deduplication and diversity passes in post-ranking logic

• Quality and integrity work to identify and downrank violating content

• Developed a persistent, real-time clustering system to aggregate articles into common 'stories'

Video Ranking Team

I worked on the platform maintenance team. I developed bug fixes, performance enhancements, and tests for a .NET application using C#, Visual Studio, and SQL Server

I developed homework assignments, held office hours, and graded projects on various topics including object oriented design, algorithms and efficiency, and data structures

1) Designed and created a new app for administrative use

2) Managed and updated data on MySQL and AWS servers

3) Translated an existing project in Objective C to swift code
