• Manage a product design team of 15 people including PD managers at Amazon.

• Develop consumer electronics of Amazon Echo and Fire tv product lines

• End to end product development from concept to production

• PD Lead Launched the 1st generation of Amazon Echo

• Responsible for the PD architecture design and critical sub-systems by using Creo

• Creo 3D top down design and 2D drawing release

• Represent PD team working with core team to develop the Echo and Fire tv family products

• Work closely with the CM from oversea

• Perform failure analysis, root cause analysis and come up with cost-effective solutions

• Brainstorming for innovative design approaches to develop creative solutions and improve product performance and durability.

• Cross function communication with ID, Hardware, Product Validation, Factory...etc.

• Establishing 3D models and 2D drawings.

• Participate product trial run in China

• Perform Failure analysis, Root cause analysis and provide efficient solution to resolve the errors

• Work closely with manufacturing vendors to achieve cost effective design.

• Onsite co-work with Nokia team for CoRD (Collaborated R&D) programs.

• Brainstorming for innovative design approaches to develop creative solutions and improve product performance and durability.

• Detail design for plastic covers, metal covers and key buttons.

• Establishing 3D model start from scratch.

• Generate 2D drawing base on 3D model and product requirements.

• Participate product trial run and perform error detection.

• Root cause analysis, provide efficient solution to resolve the errors

• Provide manufacturing feedback, highlight risks and suggest proper solution through a tooling review, moldflow analysis review, cosmetic process review and assembly fixtures review.

• Work closely with FIH manufacturing engineers and factory to have a cost effective design.

• Review design status/schedule with Nokia SD and Foxconn China by phone conference or net meeting.
