Development of a numerical model for studying solar wind phenomena:

• Developed a system for automated formulae differentiation and evaluation optimization;

• Implemented a simulated annealing system to automate finding conditions to precisely match

observational data

Algorithm development / contribution to Space Weather Modeling Framework

• Developed data coupling algorithms between components of the framework: enabled efficient exchange of large data via Message Passing Interface (MPI), new opportunities for applications of wider physical scope

• Developed automated system running series of tests for one of the components; tests are run daily on multiple supercomputers and results are uploaded onto a web-page: enabled a robust, quality-controlled development of the sophisticated product

• Improved existing components including the data structure and adaptation to new physical applications; generated data were used in successful funding applications

• Developed new component for simulating solar particles transport from the Sun to the Earth (data

structure, interface with the framework)

• Developed interpolation algorithm for block-adaptive grids: eliminated spurious distortions in

simulated solutions
