Credit platform leveraging ML and massive datasets to model a forward-looking view of borrower financials and monitor the lender’s portfolio.
• Working in Ingestion Squad, on a mission to onboard financial data under a standardized format. My squad is the backbone of the company and works on the most significant architectural projects at this stage of the product cycle.
• Own the delivery of the Ingestion UI, which allows onboarding massive borrower financials. Key features: massive tables, drag & drop interactions, data validation. Currently in production across all client stacks.
• Own the delivery of the Financials UI, which allows viewing ingested financials and on-the-fly calculation of forecasts. Key features: massive tables, currency conversions, live calculations. Currently in production across all client stacks.
• Replicate the company’s public website using modern static web technology (GatsbyJS) in 2 days during the hackathon. Currently in production.
• An active participant in FE guild initiatives, improving the overall quality/modularity of the codebase. Examples: facilitate the move to micro-FE architecture, own IE 11 compatibility efforts, reduce FE bundle size, standardize table components, devise custom lint rules to enforce good practices.
• Work closely with Product, Design, Squad Leadership, and BE to prioritize tasks, estimate efforts, break down complex stories into sensible implementation steps while avoiding getting caught up in unimportant details.
• Occasionally act as a Scrum Master for the team: coordinate daily stand-ups and retrospectives, facilitate unblocking issues.
• Conduct technical interviews to access candidates for technical positions.
• Have a strong emphasis on testing and overall quality of the code base.

Analytical & Quantitative
• Co-created a Korean modern banking solution from scratch. Devised market offering, technical features, roadmap, and a high-conversion website. Stakeholders raised $35,000,000 within 30 days of the crowd sale.
• Expanded to a new customer segment after introducing an approach for low-cost, high-quality website development initially designed for market assumption validation. This segment constitutes 6% of sales.
• Established client transparency tools with notifications, dev status overview, and low-touch automated reports resulting in increased customer satisfaction & retention, and decreased reporting times by 70%.
Leadership
• Acquired and negotiated deals with 2 clients in Q2 2019 bringing 60% of quarterly sales. Subsequently, one of these clients (associated with NHS) offered another project that will result in > £200,000 of sales.
• Co-created a new offering of impact-oriented digital transformation solutions.
• Introduced many standards which became best practice and de-facto guidelines for product development.
Project Management
• Within 2 weeks recovered a poorly implemented React Native project by re-working the codebase to resolve a set of architectural and functional issues, resulting in the successful delivery and continued a fruitful relationship with the client.
• Oversaw an entire project lifecycle from initial requirements gathering and feasibility analysis to effort estimate, pricing, sprint planning, resource allocation, code reviews, and commissioning solutions.
• Amassed a database of cross-functional contractors for outsourcing; instituted interviewing routine.
Team & External Communication
• Collaborated closely with the clients during development iterations, reported directly to the CEO.
• Coached the team on Agile, usability and performance standards, tools, and test-first approach gradually improving their skills resulting in fewer bugs, faster turnaround and higher quality overall.

• Translated a complex web-view app into React Native/MongoDB/AWS stack by re-building it from scratch. Features: rendering 100+ large images in a single view, Tesco & Ocado integration, offline text & images, cloud infrastructure setup & migration. The resulting app is 50% faster than its predecessor.
• Delivered a robust React website for Egypt’s leading plexiglass manufacturer which scores 100 in Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, SEO, and PWA in Google Lighthouse audit.
