I work on internal performance and diagnostics tooling for backend services, including distributed profiling infrastructure, memory diagnostics workflows, and developer-facing interfaces. I partner with performance and platform teams to improve observability, accelerate debugging, and support more efficient capacity usage across the fleet.

Worked as a software engineering intern focused on telemetry infrastructure. Owned Golang service that generated and maintained the Grafana dashboards for Roblox’s microservice platform. Extended the service’s capabilities to include parsing and visualizing user-defined custom metrics, a retention policy to clean up unused dashboards, and integration into a runtime configuration service.
2021 — 2021
Worked as a backend engineer for the Center of Complex Intervention's Mathesar team. Was responsible for implementing backend functions for complex database operations in SQLAlchemy and producing REST API endpoints for requesting database operations in Django. Further, implemented unit and integration tests in Pytest for all newly implemented features and automated maintenance of the Mathesar Wiki using Github Actions.

Worked as a research intern, working on producing models to group line items for unstructured data processing. Updated Indico's Finetune library with modules for processing data, generating labels, and calculating metrics for the new task. Additionally, lead labeling efforts for creating a new internal dataset of 1000 documents and implemented a set of 8 existing and novel algorithms for relation extraction.

Worked as a research intern, pursuing topics that the machine learning team found promising. Conducted a broad literature review of the semi-supervised learning space, implemented 4 different algorithms into Indico's Finetune library, and ran experiments to benchmark against Indico's current methods.
Also worked on a project utilizing Google's new T5 transformer model. Produced preliminary results on several new text generation tasks; named entity recognition, name normalization, text de-noising and association extraction.
