• Led an Accessibility (a11y) project to improve usability for all users. Focused on font and UI scaling, screen readers, & contrast. This effort involved collaborating with designers, product managers, and other engineers from multiple teams to ensure that our app meets the highest accessibility standards.
• Maximized performance and scrollability on low-end devices with memory efficient list upgrade
• Improved grid system to allow for increased item image sizes corresponding to increased font scale
• Rewrote app from native / React Native hybrid to full React Native architecture (18 months). This greatly simplified our codebases and enabled faster development cycles.
