Building client infrastructure for end-to-end encrypted messaging

Building client infra to support encrypted messaging across the full Facebook family of apps.

Worked on the encrypted messaging feature on Messenger, building out the core messaging logic, features, and maintaining/augmenting testing infrastructure.

• Used NLP techniques (such as Doc2Vec), clustering, and IAB taxonomy in a new project which gives engineers a better understanding of subreddits.

• Covered over 95% of user traffic with Tier 1 IAB taxonomy, and brought higher-tier coverage from 0% to 53%.

• Started, grew, and organized events for Reddit's Pokémon GO interest group, and attended Reddit's Deep Learning interest group.

• Developed brand new, exclusive features for the Pixel 2 phones, comprehensively tested with JUnit and Robolectric.

• Implemented features (with corresponding tests) and bug fixes for the Google Clock and Calculator applications, including a prototype of the Calculator's long-awaited "tap to restore history" feature.
