Lead a project to migrate Vertica (columnar, analytics database) from a 40-node cluster in a local data center to Google Cloud Platform, working primarily with Terraform and Chef.

Re-designed our data on-call tooling and rotation, reducing alerts from an average of 60+/month to an average of 4 a month.

I get to work with data in MANY shapes and places, helping to provide efficient and meaningful access to data for fellow employees. Etsy is the best!
