• Owned the codebase for the lender-side (i.e. enterprise) application serving hundreds of leading financial institutions and processing ~25% of all mortgage applications in the US per year.
• Led a phased, multiyear, teamwide frontend code conversion from Angular to React, from research and planning through execution, testing, and release, resulting in a vastly improved user experience and developer ergonomics.
• Built several backend-driven frontend applications featuring extensible design patterns that facilitated feature development from other teams within Blend.
• Promoted code velocity and quality through improvements to shared packages, testing infrastructure, documentation, and best practices.
• As a codeowner, responsibilities included on-call rotations, error monitoring, deployment, and code reviews.
• Regularly collaborated with designers, product managers, and other engineering teams throughout the development cycle to give feedback and manage code complexities.
