Played a pivotal role in positioning Mender as a market-leading SaaS solution, securing major enterprise customers such as Airbus, Schindler, Lyft, and Siemens. Mender.io (https://mender.io/), is an open source end-to-end remote software management solution for IoT devices.
As the first PMM hire and founding lead I built and ran the product marketing function and I was also the product owner for Mender.io website. Scaled the team to four thriving marketers.
Developed the core value proposition of Mender and repositioned it as the leading device lifecycle management solution for IoT devices in various verticals including Industrial Manufacturing & Robotics, Medical & Healthcare, Security & Access Control, Consumer and Smart Energy.
Developed the go-to-market strategy and execution including defining the value proposition, product positioning, messaging, pricing, packaging, and sales enablement tools. Mapped out the competitive landscape and built an ROI calculator to justify build vs. buy scenarios.
Engaged with the developer community through various programs to increase user adoption.
Key accomplishments:
*Enabled revenue growth – Led the go-to-market Enterprise plan launch for Mender.io, targeting Embedded Linux/IoT application developers as well as enterprise decision makers, by developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that included pricing, packaging, sales enablement, and partnership. Efforts contributed to achieving 102% to target within the first year and generating over 30 qualified leads.
*Increased product adoption – Increased SaaS self-served product adoptions by optimizing customer journey, targeted content creation and marketing initiatives, achieving a 40% average monthly growth rate in signups.
