My research projects focused on validating spatial frequency domain imaging (SFDI) as a preclinical imaging tool for monitoring chemotherapy response. I performed optical property reconstruction and image processing for a large set of murine tumors imaged with SFDI. I also developed image analysis algorithms on ImageJ in order to optimize image processing. From my work, SFDI derived optical values could be correlated to biological markers, and a new mechanism for tracking treatment response in preclinical models was determined.
