Architected the scaling strategy for a company-wide design system initiative, transitioning a small, specialized team into a high-impact global operation.
I partnered with the Creative Director to drive design and brand consistency across the G Suite ecosystem (35+ products). My role was to bridge the gap between the vision of Material Design and its technical execution, leading a multidisciplinary group of UX designers, researchers, engineers, and creative artists/illustrators to create a cohesive Google-branded experience.
Scaling a Global Initiative: Led a new, specialized team that grew 4X under my design operations leadership. I established the operational infrastructure required to manage multiple workstreams across various global locations, ensuring consistent delivery during rapid expansion.
Systemic Consistency at Scale: Orchestrated the rollout of common components and patterns across 35+ product teams. I solved the complex operational hurdles of moving a massive organization toward a unified design system, fostering a holistic user experience for millions of users.
Cross-Disciplinary Orchestration: Managed a diverse creative ecosystem—including UX designers, user researchers, writers, and illustrators. I acted as the central "bridger," ensuring that high-level brand artistry and technical engineering constraints were harmonized within the product roadmap.
Strategic Stakeholder Alignment: Managed executive-level communications and cross-functional planning with Product and Engineering leadership. I identified risks, optimized resource utilization, and streamlined the UX process to drive product excellence across the entire suite.
