Project Hermes & Dragon - Full Stack (2 years)
• Spearheaded the design and implementation of GraphQL APIs and data models to search and filter 5 insurance product types in AWS RDS and IBM Db2, slashing data retrieval time from days to real-time.
• Led the design and development of wireframes and search forms using Figma, React, and Material UI, while maintaining ongoing collaboration with the product owner and UI team to refine visual designs and ensure coherence with project goals.
• Executed proof-of-concepts to evaluate tech stack viability with respect to functional requirements.
• Created and maintained comprehensive API documentation and a minimum of 80% unit test coverage.
• Partnered cross-functionally with the database analyst, QA, and product owner to ensure SQL queries, integration tests, and product features adhered to business needs and MVP criteria.
• Acquired proficiency in a new tech stack and developed 7+ end-to-end features, including a multi-select dropdown, data exporting, and 5+ search options using RESTful APIs, Node, Vue, and AWS RDS.
Project TRAMS - Backend (2 years)
• Optimized data-driven app performance by implementing worker and database connection pools in Golang to concurrently transfer 100+ GBs of data to and from IBM Db2 via SFTP protocol, resulting in significantly improved efficiency and throughput.
• Implemented comprehensive unit tests and achieved 90% code coverage across 4 Go applications, ensuring high reliability, maintainability, and confidence in code quality.
• Frequently collaborated with the DB analyst to ensure masked data uploads in Db2 were successful.
2015 — 2017

• Developed a novel statistical methodology for characterizing engine combustion performance by detecting and quantifying low peak pressure, misfire, and pre-ignition in plotted and tabulated format. The proposed method satisfies the primary criteria of designing a metric that is independent of engine operating parameters such as load, engine RPM, fuel duration, etc.
• Built a MATLAB application to conduct feasibility and reliability research on my proposed metric for characterizing engine combustion performance. Upon successful testing, the application would provide a more reliable and robust process for detecting cylinder misfires and pre-ignition across multiple engine platforms.
• Created and revised 2D CAD drawings of various engine components and assemblies such as the exhaust manifold support brackets and flanges, using SolidWorks and Visio.
• Presenting author of, "Advanced Statistical Methods for Analytic Combustion Data," at the 2016 Gas Machinery Conference in Denver, CO.
2014 — 2014
San Ramon, CA
• Collaborated with the transmission line engineering team, which is responsible for the safety and reliability of the operation of the electric transmission system across short and long term planning. The following are projects I was responsible for:
• Mitigated conductor sway to within clearance requirements by generating numerous steel pole designs and determining a feasible location to interset a steel pole along an 800-ft span.
• Modeled and analyzed 7 transmission lines under various loads and weather cases using PLS-CADD software. The purpose was to ensure that the new distribution line, which crossed underneath the transmission line, did not violate clearance regulations prior to construction.
• Compiled structure data for over 50 circuits into a single Excel document to expedite the verification process of identifying clearance discrepancies. Utilized aerial videos, Google Maps, GIS, and Structure Data Sheets (SDS) to pinpoint and identify structures.
• Trained multiple rotational engineers on how to model and conduct analysis on pre-existing transmission towers using GIS and PLS-CADD software.
