Began as an intern and gradually gained positions of increasing responsibility. Performed many daily tasks and a variety of projects involving data analysis.
• Developed a VB application to simulate operation of new handheld device with a UI. Designers could modify a custom light-weight high-level scripting file for precise product specification and ease of changing UI.
• Developed Access database with VBA backend to store, graph, and generate reports with SQL from instrumentation data. This enabled tracking of performance over time and maintenance intervals.
• Created various MS Excel object-oriented applications utilizing VBA with a GUI to generate analytical report, color data conversion, and streamlining of workflows.
• Development of C/C++ algorithms and data structures for color data calculation as a library in various in-house software and commercial software.
• Developed backend of the Mac OS X “Colorstrology” widget using Javascript/HTML for use in the Apple Dashboard.
• Developed and tested digital file installers for Adobe CS on Mac OS X and Windows. Widely distributed to allow use of latest colors before the next Adobe release.
• Learned color management, fundamentals of color science, and operation of color measurement equipment which allowed me to be more effective in a field that was unknown to me.
