At Shopify, I contributed to key initiatives across the Automation and Checkout teams, focusing on system performance, scalability, and developer experience:

• Worked on the creation of parameterized templates for dynamic, reusable automation.

• Migrated cart/product abandonment flows to Kafka and improved the ActiveKafka library.

• Built a tool to migrate 1.5M+ automation to the new Email App with no downtime.

• Developed internal tools to validate Marketing Automation features pre-release.

• Refactored Profiles & Extensions sync, cutting latency and improving editor speed.

• Enabled Global Extensions for the Global-e migration to Checkout One (C1).

• Participated in the integration of address validation and skeleton loading for a better checkout UX.

• Contributed to Checkout Profile overrides and market customization logic.

• Shipped the checkout_and_accounts_configuration/update webhook event.

• Helped reduce API errors in a Code Red effort by improving input validations.

• Provide leadership to a team of developers in the maintenance, updating, and troubleshooting of the company’s main web application, Pressero: a system that runs across distributed environments with thousands of users and multiple nodes.

• Oversee all employee training, work allocation, and objectives planning. Drive communications with the product team to advise on new features and provide ongoing support to clients/ end-users.

• Develop and implement specifications according to product owner requirements. Review/ monitor current implementations to ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Key Achievement: Managed the migration of an existing file system from local storage to Amazon S3. Added SSO, with support to OAuth V2, SAML and connectivity with SalesForce, Azure, AD, Windows AD, Okta, and Ping One.

• Designed, developed, and tested the Pressero V6 REST application, including all APIDOC documentation, plugins, and integrations. Key integrations included shipping, payments, and external partners.

• Reviewed external APIs and evaluated the feasibility of integration. Managed the development of new features across the team and prepare/ release fire calls to push production.

• Key Achievement: Successfully led multiple integrations and migrations, including the API for Pressero V6 (using Web API), as well as the migration of AWI from V5 API to V6, the integration of Pressero with Zapier, HP, Canon, Fuji, Tharstern, and other partners. Managed integrations and connections to systems from HP, Canon, Fuji, Zapier, Authorize.net, PayPal, Stripe, and Square.

• Key Achievement: Successfully created an application to deliver financial management solutions for the Bayad Center (a leader in Outsourcing Payment Collection) and their international operations.

• Maintained direct-responsibility for the migration of tools from Delphi to C#, including the development and management of a new .net team to oversee WCF + Web API integrations and new Infomed application features.

• Managed compliance processes to ensure all activities and updates aligned with legislative changes (ANS). Reviewed all ANS TISS changes in Infomed and developed Infomed PTU Online Integration.

• Provided analysis, input, and recommendations for the Unimed Brazil PTU Group in the development of communications processes for the company. Represented Unimed as part of the NNE Group.

• Key Achievement: Successfully lead the team that created Brazil’s first PTU Webservice integration as well as the backend structure and TISS Webservice/ data import for Infomed. Advanced the use of .net within the company.
