• Architected a saved search system using dynamically-created temporary ElasticSearch indexes that sends automatic notifications when new documents matching a saved search query are created.

• Developed an authentication system with usage tracking for third party API users using MySQL, php and Laravel.

• Created a user-configurable landing page dashboard which pulls data from multiple sources (MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch) in parallel to maximize speed and responsiveness with php and Laravel.

• Used dependency injection and object-oriented principles to merge separate US and Hong Kong websites into a single international API and with a single MySQL database schema.

• Implemented a Google Maps based geolocation system for Hong Kong to determine delivery ranges and customer locations with an automated system to import polygons from Zillow.

• Indexed ~25,000,000 orders worth of data into ElasticSearch from two separate Java and PHP based systems, and created an API to allow users to quickly search and filter their order history.

• Implemented an auto-complete system using ElasticSearch to pull data from merchant menus and recommend search terms based on popularity while also restricting results based on geolocation.

• Developed an internal framework to allow ElasticSearch indices to be automatically generated with proper mappings, reindexed and swapped live without downtime.
