• Rebuilt symptom search experience for Buoy’s AI symptom checker chatbot using React and JavaScript, including advanced features like typeahead autosuggestions powered by AWS Elasticsearch backend.

• Identified opportunity and led initiative to leverage emerging Progressive Web App (PWA) standards in order to make Buoy’s web apps installable alongside native apps without having to maintain and ship separate codebases.
• Led company-wide accessibility initiative as engineering stakeholder. • Led effort to enhance page-load performance of our Next.js (React) app which serves a library of high quality health and wellness content to millions of visitors, effectively cutting our p95 request latency in half (from a range of 250-350 ms to 100-150 ms per request).
