Worked and launched a green-field service Lustre File Storage (LFS), a new OCI cloud service for high-performance file storage. Previously worked in File System Storage service (FSS), which provides fully elastic, highly available & distributed file storage.
• Architected and implemented a capacity management model enabling tenant-aware routing to dedicated and default resource pools, site-constrained host allocation and an automated reservation hydration mechanism to maintain desired pool configurations.
• Designed and implemented the management plane of “object sync” feature, facilitating the import/export of files between Object Storage buckets and Lustre file systems. I implemented host selection logic, integrated with object storage API with resource principal authorization mechanism, and implemented start and stop APIs of sync jobs.
• Designed and implemented changes needed for FSS to support IPv6 single and dual (with existing IPv4) stacks, from DNS level, down to API server (VNIC management) and NFS server level
• Designed and implemented end-to-end scheduled snapshots, a new feature where users can schedule filesystem snapshots to be taken and deleted with a specified frequency and timezone. I implemented new service APIs, stateful workflows, indices and multithreaded programs in Java; wrote automated canary tests and performance tests
