Started on this agile methodology driven project by creating a service in java that captures the SIP stack log events into Android Logcat.

• Resolved several issues in the Avaya SIP stack which is a multithreaded process written in C++

• Integrated the Bluetooth feature

• Developed innovative ways to debug C++ and java programs that benefited the entire team

Developed embedded object oriented C++ for Avaya’s Media Gateway family of products. Authored requirements and software architecture for several features. Designed and developed automated regression tests (Visual C++ and Perl) for each feature. Several features were proven defect free by system test. Sample features:

• H.248 protocol and associated transaction management for the media gateway and the call server

• Survivable call server features such as Dial Plan, ISDN and H323

• Designed and implemented a proprietary protocol modeled off Transport Layer Security

• Hot-patch tool, capable of replacing portions of software while the system is running

• Voice blade gateway, compatible with Juniper routers

• Gateway configuration via SNMP and Command Line Interface

Improved significantly team productivity by developing a call server simulator. Developed web tools using Ajax and MySQL to accelerate administration of defects and release content.

• Developed the user interface for Lucent's IP Telephony Product using Visual Studio and Java

• Decreased by 30% the size of existing Java software by implementing reusable building blocks

• Integrated the CMIP feature and developed an automated Tcl test environment for Lucent's ATM core switch

• Prototyped web based Element Management and IPC using RMI, CORBA and Sockets

• Implemented the CMIP interface on Lucent’s SDH Multiplexer ADM155 starting from scratch

• As a prototype, ported the entire OSI stack from a similar board in two weeks

• Supervised the porting of the Retix OSI stack by a contracting company

• Designed the CMIP interface between Lucent's network management platform and TRT's WaveStar SDH equipment

• Led a team of four people and co-developed the CMIP interface on a 68040 motherboard

• Reused software from other divisions and developed new software to manage the OSI stack

• Adapted X.25 software to interface with the existing transport layer
