Alloy solves the identity risk problem for companies that offer financial products. Over 600 banks, credit unions, and fintechs turn to Alloy's end-to-end identity risk management platform to take control of fraud, credit, and compliance risks, and grow with confidence.

• Designed, authored, and released code in languages like Python and Go to provide services and tooling for SRE & software engineering teams.

• Owned deployment of Kubernetes in AWS (EKS). Led a project to refactor deployment in a fully automated and repeatable method using Terraform. Iterated on initial refactor to create a platform that is trusted by software engineering teams to run Datto's SaaS products.

• Contributed to the architecture and design of deployments of an on-premises Openstack based private cloud, designed workflows for resource management, infrastructure for logging, as well as design and implementation for centralized authentication (Keystone).

• Managed large numbers of Linux based systems by leveraging IaC configuration management and software delivery platforms (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible)

• Worked with software development teams to identify areas of improvement with infrastructure platforms, including improving CI/CD to automate code validation + delivery

• Collaborated with IaaS team consumers to define reliability strategy including Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Indicators (SLIs), and drove platform reliability improvement through monitoring, alerting, and application of software engineering best practices.

• Partnered with the CIO and CISO to define the Corp. technology roadmap, subsequently responsible

for delivering roadmap items by working cross-functionally across Legal/People/Security

• Led integration of core internal systems during mergers & acquisitions, including Open Mesh (~50 headcount), Autotask (~500 headcount), and Centrastage (~30 headcount)

• Owned all corp technology user-facing processes, services and supporting infrastructure, and led a project to make employee onboarding/offboarding self serviceable by HR teams

• Worked closely with security org to define and deliver SOC 2 Type II company-wide compliance objectives including MFA everywhere, hardware based MFA (Yubikey), always on VPN, and comprehensive endpoint patching/reporting.

• Manager of 6 direct reports. Empowered the team with the tools, access, and autonomy they needed to best provide Datto’s global employees with the tools and infrastructure needed to function on a daily basis. Operationally matured engineers on the team by introducing daily stand ups, CI/CD principles, Kanban tracking, and robust post mortem feedback loops.

• Scaled Datto's internal systems while the company grew in headcount from 400 to 1600+, requiring constant reimagining and examination of existing processes/tools, and was recognized by the CEO with a 'DattoByte' award for the hard work I put in to keep our culture great while doing it.
