Broadly, I build software that enables nonprofits to preserve digital media.

I did 3 projects with Stamen, a cartography and data visualization design studio. I was the primary feature developer on UCSF Health Atlas, which included adding redlining data among other projects. I built web apps, worked with data, made custom interactive visualizations, and met with clients to bring their projects to life.

Medium-sized publicly traded tech company out of Seattle, a subscription video camera hardware and online video storage service. I built many features from the ground up within their device management and cloud video storage site and contributed regularly to their component library. Their website serves 100,000+ users a day across multiple continents.

I spent two separate stints here. After two years as Software Engineer II, I left on good terms and was rehired in 2020 as a Senior Software Engineer.

I was a Senior Frontend Engineer for Sunshine, Zendesk's CRM platform product. I built a reusable component library on top of Zendesk's CRM data. This enabled a portable and consistent user experience across their products and gave me valuable experience building libraries to publish on npm to a wider developer audience.

I was one of three full stack engineers building the core product for a startup. It was a single-page electron web app for securely sharing files. I learned to build a product from scratch and was involved in everything from frontend, backend, physical deployments, security & encryption, design, to product. I learned and used React, node, mongo, and linux every day.
